Horrible GPA...what's enough to make up for it?

I know there's already a chances thread, but I'm not having much luck with that. Help here would be greatly appreciated!

GPA: a whopping...3.68
Weighted: 4.0

SAT: 2260
2's: math 800 bio 750

ECs:
4 yrs school swim team
School paper section editor
piano CM level 9
club swimming
AVID tutor
14 hrs a week working as a swim instructor
Summer internship out of the country at a university (didnt do TOO much there)
CSF
Key club

Essays and recs: Not too shabby, dunno if they'd count as SPECTACULAR

thanks guys! i'd really just like a realistic view of if I could get in or not. If not... SD maybe?

It depends, what division are you in for Key Club…!

On a real note, for some reason, I think it’ll be like a 75% yes from UCLA, whereas Berkeley should be a 90%. Just a prediction though, yo

Hm, isn’t Berkeley even harder to get into than LA?

Berkeley and UCLA are about the same; Berkeley has slightly higher acceptance rates. You’re looking at around 50% at best.

I had a 4.0 weighted and worse SAT scores and less ECs and I got into UCLA. It depends on the major you applied to. I hope it had something to do with Biology, because 750 is a great score.

[Not for L&S](<a href=“http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/adm_fr/frsel.htm"]Not”>http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/adm_fr/frsel.htm)

I just think Berkeley is more impressed with like Test Scores than UCLA is. They’re very arbitrary when it comes to selecting students.

UCLA, I think, likes GPA a little more than Berkeley. I’m speaking from friends’ experiences.
