Horrible PSAT score, Great SAT score.

Got a 165 on the PSAT junior year. This was really shocking to me. Part of it might have been just carelessness on my part; I noticed many of my answers that resulted from the work I did in the book matched, but the answers I actually bubbled in were wrong. I don't know.

Anyways, I got a 2270 on the SAT. Lots of preparation, though. I completed around 6 practice tests and read through the big blue SAT book and the Princeton Review book.

Is this unusual?

^just pray I get that score.

’‘but the answers I actually bubbled in were wrong’’

That’s probably why you got such a low score in your PSAT or you really didn’t give your attention to the questions. In my case, I got a 191 from PSAT, and later a 2200 in SAT. So, I don’t think one’s PSAT score is a realistic indicator of what they can do in SAT since many people who take the PSAT are unprepared. However, yours is a big jump. Great job!

what a modest username

and no it’s not unusual; studying can really help a ton
