Hey. this is my fifth question! I hope no one minds :D

Okay.. SO I am a grade 11 student, thinking of applying to good schools...

And I see my transcript... and see two subjects in the eighties... (no, we do not do letter grades)

Grade 11 Chemistry Honours - 81%
Grade 11 Biology - 83%

I ABHOR science... I think that's why I did so badly in both of them!
But the thing is that I do well in other courses... since grade 9 (gpa=3.9ish)

Would these two bad marks (Bs?) hurt my chances for getting into good schools (NYU!!!, Brown, Dmouth, UCs, Gtown, Swarthmore, Williams, etc.)?

Thanks guys!!! I really appreciate your help!

I LOVE how there are people out there who think a single B will kill their chances at good schools! It doesn't work that way!!!

There is so much more than that to the admissions process! Rigor of academic schedule (In particular, the fact that the Chemistry is Honours should make the admissions people understand why the grade is lower), extracurriculars, recs, essays... it's not just about the GPA, and NO, some B's here and there won't hurt you if you've been doing great in other courses!

hehehe sorry leftylink!!! I guess I am a crazy little asian kid... :D
alright. i really appreciate your input! :D

As long as you're not going pre-med or something, I think you'll get by.

/dripping sarcasm.

You'll be fine.

Hah... I'm Asian too. So I suppose I know how it feels. But I've gotten my share of A-'s, and a B this year. And I still think I have good chances at my schools, because I know there's so much more to it. Of course I'm still going to aim to get the best grades I can get, but I won't go emo and kill myself if I honestly feel I have done my best but only received a B.

haha you are so cool!

aww if u were in ontario, 80%= A lmao...

too bad for winnipeg bro im with ya... im in ottawa :P
