My graduation requirements require me to take a year and a half if an art class. I was considering taking AP Art History but I absolutely suck at art so I was wondering whether or not this class requires doing actual art or if it just focuses on learning the history of it. Sorry for the stupid question.

Can music appreciation count as an art class? That’s how I got out of doing anything visual-arts related.

Not sure if my school offers a class like that. What do you do in it?

It’s just like a very basic music class. I’m not sure what other schools do, but I had to take it in ninth grade and we learned about different instruments and how to read music.

AP Art History is all history. You need to know terminology but that’s it. A lot of memorizing works and their artists. It was a fun AP test.

My school and teacher are both pretty crappy so I didn’t know a lot right before the test. I crammed like 300 works in a 17 hour period before the test and managed a 4. It was pretty fun.

APAH is just the history of art (go figure). Sounds like a fun class. I just did Tech Theatre to get out of my graduation requirement since building sets is pretty fun.
