Hostel

Great movie! Sweet ending! Hot chicks! YEAH!

I liked it.

the trailor looks stupid. I don't want to see people getting tortured.

It looks alright. How does it compare to something like Seven?

and there is misleading advertisement. Quinten Tarentino is EXECUTIVE director

I'm not a fan of horror movies, but this movie really looks stupid, I also found the trailer dumb. From what I heard, its about some American teengers going to some eastern european country to get laid but they come across a building where businessmen pay to torture and kill people for their sick kicks and those teens are the ones to wander there and get chosen. Disgusting film if you ask me.

^^^ I agree, I'm not wasting 8 bucks to see some people get tortured with power tools.

Hey guys,

First of all, please don't insult a movie by the way its trailer looks. If you haven't seen it, you're not in a position to make accurate judgments about it.

Also, if you're not looking to provide any sort of productive insight, please don't post within the topic, for you people essentially "cause" the downfall of most topics by reducing its integrity.

With that being said,

I enjoyed this film. It actually had a decent plot in comparison to many other horror films which pretty much use the same old formula (sex, drugs, helpless teenagers, and scary looking slashers). Of course, you'll get all of these things, but even more.

The fact that you can actually sympathize with the main characters adds to the cringe effect of the killings.

I won't reveal the ending, but it's so brilliant that half the audience in the theatre pretty much applauded.

Watch the movie if you're into any sort of horror at all. If not, then stay out and comment on other movies.

And Cortez, this movie is a lot sicker than Seven, in all aspects.

P.S. Let's not turn this into a flame war. Thanks.

I guess your right, but I still can't see the appeal of horror movies. When I'm watching entertainment, I'd much rather be laughing at a funny movie than screaming my head off and covering my eyes at a horror movie, but thats just me.

I enjoy horror movies because it's a different type of thrill than comedies.

I, too, enjoy comedies--very much so.

But horror movies are just another thing to watch with girls and talk about with friends at school or anywhere in general. Makes for good conversation and fun times (a different kind of fun).

But that's just me.

Saw the movie. Do establishments like that actually exist?

omygah i want to watch hostel. i love to just be freaked out/frightened to death/on the edge of my seat/filled with tension. i love going through all of those "miserable" feelings during a horror movie!!

yea i heard it was reallly good.

and i agree with u robot food. horror movies was the topic that got me to go on a movie "date" with this uber hot/cute/awesome guy friend of mine ;) DEF a great convo topic (for me hehe)

and again i agree with robot food in that trailers arent necessarily the sole "preview" of a movie. when i first saw wolf creek trailers i was like "eh. looks boring" but when i actually watched it omg it was sooo fun.

red eye was horrible...and the trailer didnt really help anything when you watched it again.

I liked Red Eye, sort of... alright, so it wasn't that great. The ending could have used some work. But all in all, I think it was a good movie.

RobotFood, your an idiot

Saw the movie. Do establishments like that actually exist?

^ i highly doubt it. This movie, i'd give it a 8/10. I thought it was good enough to be one of those movies you watch in the theaters and when it comes out on DVD, you watch it again with your friends

Decent movie, not great. People said the blood and torture was too much, I say it was really almost non existant. I expected a movie that would make me be on the edge of me seat, but I wasn't. It was just kinda bla as far as blood and gore. It was basically on the level of nip/tuck with blood.

Anybody go to the site? There's a link to find out how much you are worth. They actually ask for your SAT score.

"RobotFood, your an idiot"

Hey Vinny,

I won't refer to your poor grammar to refute what you said--because, quite frankly, attacking another person's english is just downright low.

Please support that statement with some reasoning. If you make more sense next time, I might even believe you. <3

And like I said, let's not turn this into a flame war. Thanks.

Red Eye wasn't scary at all. Rather, it was a short suspense movie that lacked a lot of action until the very end. Decent movie, but horrible horror movie.

"don't insult a movie by the way its trailer looks."

The trailer's duty, more or less, serves as a front page advertisement to get everyone interested in the movie. People may definitely judge if a movie is good or bad by the trailer because it's the trailer's purpose to promote and show everyone basically that the movie is worth watching. Ha, blame whoever created the trailer.
