So I am hosting a French student for like 2 weeks this summer. Any one ever do this before? How was it? How do I keep him entertained? I plan on showing him video games, movies, tv shows, teaching him dirty words, taking him to restaurants. What else should I do? What do the French like? I live in Oregon so don't suggest museums or anything like that lol.
On weekdays he will be doing outdoor activities (which I loath) with other French kids and on weekends and evenings he has nothing but me lol.
So please share any stories and advice!

Well to be honest French people are as normal as you and me lol. He might dress a little differently, he might talk a little differently (then again I’ve heard many people who currently live in France have actually lived in America for a while and/or speak perfectly good English because it’s their first or second language), but you’re still two people who would have quite a few common interests :P

of course you know that, I’m just re-emphasizing it to you (: what you mentioned are actually a lot of things to do, especially the video games? haha. i would suggest just taking him around town, going to the fun places and hanging out with him the same way you’d hang out with your friends it’s more comfortable than the tourguide-tourist relationship isn’t it?

giggity giggity bump

You should probably try to tag along on these things and see if you enjoy them. Otherwise you’ll just wind up being that guy he has to stay with until he can hang out with friends.

too bad you can’t bang her.

yeah, just do what you said you would. to be honest, a lot of it will be natural…just hang out with him. hang out with him with your friends too. two weeks really isnt very long though. just be normal and show him normal american life.

also, i would ask him stuff about his place. ive hosted a bunch of exchange students from all over and its really cool learning about their cultures too

Thanks for the advice yall, especially sigurros

Well I mean, I am pretty sure you are just supposed to kick it and show em a good time.
