Hosting a Holiday Feast This Year?

The challah stuffing sounds delicious !

Favorite store cubes.
I have a pretty basic recipe I use that my family likes. I usually make bread and my own cubes but I’m looking for a shortcut this year. I’ve got a lot going on and I’m looking for ways to simplify.

Buying unsliced bread and making your own cubes might be the best compromise - wouldn’t take long and can be done a couple of days ahead. Premade store cubes don’t look very appealing.

I thought this looked interesting - a cross between focaccia and stuffing/dressing

One Thanksgiving morning one of our ovens (we had a double) caught fire! We used the other oven and the microwave (to heat up a few things), put the turkey in an electric roaster and the stuffing in a slow cooker. Everything turned out fine, we had a great meal and a fun story to tell. We did have to shop for a replacement oven the next day.

This lactose intolerant person says thank you!

Most of the year, I save and freeze the ends / remains of bread. At Thanksgiving, I defrost it and dry it out on a low heat oven ready to use for stuffing / dressing.
