Does anyone know whether intelligence and beauty are mutually exclusive?

PLEASE SAY NO :)

PLEASE SAY NO :)

What part of "UofC: Where the squirrels are cuter than the girls" isn't clear?

jaykay...I don't think so. There's always that one girl who is gorgeous, highly intelligent, and very personable. I hate her.

That's hilarious!

Well, I was expecting you to say that but at the same time, there have to be lots of girls at U of C suffering from the "Ugly Duckling" syndrome. They were probably ugly through most of middle school and the greater part of high school and then became beautiful in their junior and senior years but still think they're ugly.

I guess I won't know until next year...

Some more:

"U of C: Where fun comes to die"
"U of C: Where the end of the world began! (with appropriate mushroom cloud picture)"
"U of C: The level of hell that Dante forgot"
"U of C: Where the squirrels are more aggressive than the guys"
"U of C: Where the squirrels are cuter than the girls"
"U of C: If it were easy, it'd be your mom"
"U of C: Where the only thing that goes down on you is your GPA"
"U of C: Our Ivory Tower is bigger than yours."

nice one!!

ahh...the inevitable "hot girls" question. The idea of an inverse relationship between intelligence and beauty is a myth that smart but ugly people and attractive but stupid people got together and created to explain their flaws (although, to be fair, the smart ugly people did most of the thinking). Are smart people less likely to be attractive? no. However, chances are that someone going to the U of C is probably going to be too concerned with their academic pursuits too spend an inordinate amount of time pondering the most flattering shade of lip gloss. But hey, if your idea of a stimulating conversation involves hair care products, there's always northwestern.

I know a lot of hot girls who are going there or are there right now. and of course i'll be there next year, so no need to worry!

I have to say, she's right. In her myspace, she looks pretty hot. Also, on facebook, there are plenty of cute girls.

haha thanks!

but more importantly, are there hot guys at u of c?

I think its a very legitimate question...but at the same time, you have to look at how many people are there. Here is an example, this is my second year at a High School of about 350 people and has a reputation for not having the best looking girls (which is true on average I guess) but there are still a few very hot girls around. At a school with 6,00 undergrads, I sure it will be even easier to find hot girls.

What, I'm gonna be there, by myself I will raise the hotness quotient by at considerable amount.

I happen to consider myself adorable brooke

to quote esquared: "I'm a hideously disfigured little man who spites competition and mutters insults under his breath, but is really just a coward who would never act because i lack the physical capacity to take on anyone"

I worry about you esquared.

hahahah

Yes, it's safe to say I'm insane.

I call it bipolar, or psychotic. The world always needs a few more psychotics.

Bipolar? Bipolar is not synonymous with psychotic.

...Nor is insanity for that matter.

Yeah, he's both, I know they're not the same, yet society says that both can lead to insanity. Damn it, do you people have to dissect all the posts?

No, not bipolar...I'm extraordinarily stable

It's just I'm sarcastic to the degree that most people do not realize when I'm actually speaking.

I do, however, find men attractive....so, I don't know if that plays a part.

Society? Who is society? ;)

Bipolar disorder is not psychosis though it can include psychotic episodes - and by psychotic I mean, hallucinations on the manic swing of the illness. As for insanity? Not quite. Sure, you can label anyone with a mental illness at the extreme level 'insane' but that's mostly due to a lack of understanding.

"Persistent mental disorder or derangement?" C'mon. NO. The three do not equate to each other.

No I usually don't dissect posts, but this just bothered me.
