Hot Spots

Hey guys is there anywhere romantic I can take my girlfriend tomorrow by CU? She's asian and loves animals books and food. This thread is on topic because it discusses the great locale of Columbia.

Butler Stacks.

http://www.cueat.com/

Thanks guys. I'll check out those names.

what on earth does being asian have to do with it?

Maybe she's used to eating Asian food.

the only date-quality restaurants in the columbia area, in my mind, are:

Max Soha, 123rd & amsterdam

Pisticci, Lasalle just west of broadway

Le Monde, broadway bet 112th & 113th (maybe - overrated)

Meridiana? Carne? Cafe du Soleil?

I haven't even heard of these places. Except Carne, which I'm not sure qualifies. I mean, it's nice, but it's pretty far (105th st) and there's never anyone there. better restaurant than le monde though, f'sho.

Okay, but how much do those cost?

I used to live by Cafe du Soleil. There's an amazing vegetarian indian restaurant about a block down and could probably pass off as a romantic spot. I can't remember the name of it. If it interests you, shoot me a private message and I'll look it up.

I did say that this would be happening yesterday afternoon so I'm sure you guys are just comparing hot spots (which was my intent) I appreciate everyone's help and will note these places the next time I go.

It was such a beautiful day outside you should've taken your girlfriend to Riverside (just walk one block down 115) and you'll be near the river... great view and you guys can either take a walk or play frisbee on the grass. sure beats staying indoors

!!!! so mad right now then. Yea we went to the Zoo and had hella fun but she loves loves loves running water and nature etc. I'm so taking her there next time. 115th and Broadway right?

what's wrong with taking a date to someplace that's not expensive. heck, this is college. koronett's?? as a guy, i think kornett's would be sorta romantic.

Kornet's is a place where you go in, eat your greasy pizza, and leave in 5 minutes. Eating a 150 square inch piece of pizza that is tripping with grease is not romantic. The doors wide open in December making you freeze your a** off is not romantic. Sitting on a high-chair staring at a mirror watching people stand in line is not romantic.

A date doesn't have to be expensive to be romantic. And a date doesn't have to be romantic. But the fact remains that Kornet's just isn't romantic.

We ended up goin to a Jamaican Restaurant (for obvious reasons). Both of you are right in this case tho. Yea it def wouldntve been romantic but I wouldve saved money in comparison to fancy places or whatever. Thank you both.

kornets is rad
