Hot Words vs Direct Hits

Hellooo, I was wondering.. which book is a better buy...?
Hot Words or Direct Hits? I'm planning to use either one to build up my vocabulary.. on the verbal section of the SAT.

& also, if using the Gruber's workbook, which section is the most helpful? Math, CR, or Writing?

Thanks!

I’m using Hot Words and it’s really been helping me. Most of the words on the SAT Practice tests that I don’t know always end up being in there. However, a lot of CC’ers would recommend Direct Hits. I haven’t used it so I can’t really say anything. Gruber’s is great for math!

HotWords.
Although I don’t own it yet, my English teacher’s daughter used it and said it was GREAT.
Instead of learning words one by one, it gives you a bunch of words that mean roughly the same thing =)

I would assume Direct Hits. Someone did an analysis of the words that showed up on the real SAT (aka "hits), and DH was always best.

Gruber’s is best for Math. I use Rocket Review for CR and Writing.
