Where does one shop for great boarding school clothing for Hotchkiss? Need current feedback for girls clothing.
I can’t say specifically for Hotchkiss , but a good place to start for any prep school: J. Crew, Vineyard Vines, and GAP. Don’t forget about the outlets for each - why spend more for the same look!

I see lots of brands on kids at H’kiss. My daughter has everything from Gap to BR to VV to Lilly to stuff from marshals and target. That being said she “HAD” to have Bean Boots or Hunter boots within weeks of arrival. She was in danger of melting from the rain. We were careful not to buy too too much and factored in a clothing allowance and credit card so she could order a few things as she felt she needed or wanted them.
One of the things I like best about H’kiss is the kids are not overly brand conscious. They seem to appreciate “cute, nice or fun” outfits in whatever form they come. Do make sure she has plenty of leggings and fleece. After class that’s all the girls ever seem to wear…
Hotchkiss has a “look book” with lots and lots of photos of what actual Hotchkiss students are wearing.
After school, don’t they get into athletic gear? Are they ever allowed to wear jeans?
Of course they do! Athletic wear or jeans are the norm other than during the classroom day. One of the things my son particularly likes about Hotchkiss is that he can go straight from athletic practice to dinner, without having to go back to his dorm to shower and change first (which you have to do at some schools that have a seated dinner with a dress code). I don’t even want to think about how stinky some of the boys are at dinner, but it does save him a lot of time so he likes it. Feel from to PM me if you have other Hotchkiss questions.
