I thought that music counted as a sport (as dance and theater / backstage count), but it looks like it may not.

I know of a few people who participate in outside music programsāthese students, for example: https://www.lawrenceville.org/news-detail?pk=1164684&fromId=209402 (The Lawrenceville News section of the website is a goldmine for information on pretty much anything like this, by the way), but most musicians mainly perform in school ensembles, student groups, or on the pit orchestra for theatrical performances.
In terms of advanced courses at Princeton, itās very difficult. For example, to do so in math, the two most likely ātracksā that would take you to Princeton are a.) Calculus as a freshman or b.) precalculus as a freshman, double math as a junior (which tends to be rare as students want to finish their graduation requirements junior year). Basically, you need to be exceptionally advancedāin some subjects, like English, for example, itās probably not even possible. Iām an underclassman so I personally donāt know of any students who have done it, unfortunately.
Music does not count as a sport, no. The comment about day students being āboarders who sleep at homeā is completely accurate. I am a day student and spend around 11 hours daily (as well as over 14 each Saturday) on campus.
Appreciated all your reply!
I was trying to find the video about Lawrencevilleās string or orchestra. But canāt find it. Most of the video are choir or voice. If any of you know the link about string concert video, thanks for sharing.
Have you connected with the Music Directors at each school? It may be worth having a conversation with them.
I saw many Hotchkiss video, and joined a webinar about the Performing Art. But didnāt see any from LVille. But according to school, there are many string players from serious players to beginners.
