<p>What questions will they ask me at my Hotchkiss interview? Is it easier than Choate?</p>
<p>Are you asking if it easier to get into Hotchkiss than Choate, or if the interview is easier at Hotchkiss? I think the acceptance rate at Hotchkiss is a couple points below Choate, but they are pretty much on-par in terms of academics and prestige. </p>
<p>As for interviews, that really depend on what interviewer you get paired with. My Hotchkiss interviewer was fantastic- very easy to talk to and nice. One of my friends interviewed at Choate and didn’t like her interviewer at all. Apparently, he didn’t even ask her any questions about herself, and opened the conversation by asking her if she had any questions for him. Then, at the end of the interview, he criticized her for not telling him enough about herself. Hopefully you won’t get that interviewer!</p>
<p>At Hotchkiss, I was asked about my current school, how long I had been going to it, if I liked it… sports/clubs/extracurriculars… also I was asked a couple “thinking” questions like: What is a tough situation you’ve had to face and how did you overcome it? And… What is your general goal throughout your high school and college years? I would suggest thinking about these questions in advance and coming up with a good answer in case you get asked!</p>
