what do you think?

hi there. i like ur username, ask me anything you want about hotchkiss.

the school will love your ec's. i'd say you have a pretty solid chance of getting in. dont fret the ssats, im sure you did fine.

thanks! how long have you been at hotchkiss? what's it like for new students coming in as a sophomore (which I wold be)?

i'm a freshie, aka prep.

from what i've seen, coming as a lower mid is not much different from being a prep, meaning your not disadvantaged socially or academically or anything.

but i can imagine being a new uppermid to be difficult.anyway....

where else did you apply? what made you choose hotchkiss?

latin should look great...
(i went to hotchkiss... did the classics diploma) they seem to like that.
also arts have become a really big thing (i'm tres big into the arts), check out the new music building and such if you get a visit. its amazing, i wish i played an instrument (or actually practiced my guitar...) also, fashion designs pretty cool. remember schools want to know what you can bring and why you would fit in. it looks like you'd fit the profile of a student, especially if you stay enthusiastic, and continue to do your own thing while your there. theres not much for fashion design persay, but keep it up for sure.
oh and hotchkiss cross country is sooooo fun. i didnt stick it for more than a year (i'm a wimp) but I had a blast and made some good friends, and I can run 3 miles in 23 minutes where as i could barely run one, so i'm happy.
and coming in as a sophomore will be fine. there are going to be A TON of new kids, so dont even worry.
but keep up the work, and good luck to you.

thanks! Classics diploma, wow! I've never taken Greek but love latin.

I did see the music building, and it was great... I love arts and such, but feel that the facilities are lacking at my school. And yeah, I'm not expecting fashion design or anything, but I'd love to try other kinds of art.

Oh, and it's awesome that you did xc! What's the course like? I heard it's all grass.
Did you know Ms. Perkins?

@csb307: What about the junior year? I would like to ask about the competitiveness of the admission to grade 11. I see it on the Hotchkiss website that they accept just 10-20 juniors/year. I'm really worried!
Thanks.

@hotchkisshopeful: Your resume looks great! Wish you receive your good news soon! ^^
