Hotel accommodations at Conn College

All of you experienced college visit travelers!

I am looking for suggestions for New London accommodations. We would like to be as close as possible to campus, but to stay in a "tourist friendly" area if possible, so DH and I will have something to do while DD is having an overnight.

Take a look at the places in Mystic, CT. Major tourist attraction (Seaport & Aquarium), and no more than 10 or so minutes from campus. We stayed at the AmeriSuites Hotel when we visited Conn; just off I-95. I thought it was a lovely place.

Mystic would be the best for tourist friendly- ( in the non winter months, Mystic is a top tourism draw)

this is a website for loding/dining in the area: http://www.mysticcountry.com/index.php?

also, you and your husband could explore either Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods casinos- tons to see and do! just 15 minutes from campus as well.

I concur ... look at Mystic for tourist friendly hotels. There are larger chain type hotels right off the interstate, but also quaint bed and breakfasts in downtown (rt. 1 area) of Mystic. The Seaport is an experience of its own -- but next to the aquarium, closer to 95, is a nice little touristy sort of shopping district.
