I have just located what I think is an amazing deal for a place to stay during for the NY Unifieds weekend. I am absolutely not affiliated with this in anyway - I just made my reservation and everyone here has been so helpful that I wanted to share.

Anyway, it is the Doubletree Suites Hotel on Times Square (@ 47th St. and 7th Ave). All of the rooms are two-room suites, and with a mini-fridge and microwave, which to me is just what you need with all this running around and stress. They have an advance purchase (non-refundable) rate for a king or queen bed plus a sofa-bed for $215/night, or refundable for $269, and there are also discounts for AAA beyond that. The two rooms were important to us because my daughter can't sleep with my snoring (so now she can figure out my screen name here, LOL), but I bet a lot of us could benefit from a place with two rooms (and two sinks!) over that particular weekend.

And of course it's a nice hotel, at a rate that's about the same as or not much more than some of the "bargain" hotels in the area, which don't sound very nice at all.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents. If anyone else ends up there and wants to meet up, let me know.

p.s. I first found this hotel on Priceline, but I found all of the discounts at the hotel's website.
