How hard is it to get into Cornell, I know my GPA is currently a 3.4, however I think it is too low to go to Cornell. I wonder how Hotel Management is like with the courses, etc. I always wanted to go to Cornell since 6th grade, however I don't think my grades can qualify to be a perspective student.

Seeing a past post, these are my past courses :

Algebra I
Foods I
English I
World History
Band
Physical Science
Spanish I

Hnrs Geometry
Hnrs US I
English II
Band
Biology
Spanish II

Currently :
Spanish 3
AP US
Chemistry
Marketing I
Pre Calc. / Trigonometry
English 3
Band

the hotel school has lower requirements in terms of SAT's and gpa. However, there is a mandatory interview and you need work experience in the hospitality industry.

yummi, do you mean that I should get an intern at a hotel, because I plan on for an internship at Ritz-Carlton in Seoul, South Korea. Do you possibly have an AIM sn that we can talk easier.

Definitely go for that internship. Practical experience is what it's all about at the Hotel School.

since you're a junior, i would also load up on APs next year as a senior if your school offers them. a strong curriculum is extremely important, not just for Cornell.

my schedule might seem like this

MCP Business Law or Honors Spanish 4
Physics
MCP Humanities
Marketing II
Honors English 4
Honors Calculus
Band

does your school offer many APs?

Yes, I believe they offer :
AP Spanish 5
AP Chem
AP Biology
AP US ( Soph. Year )
AP European ( Frosh Year )
AP Gov't (Senior Year )
AP World History ( Senior Year )
AP Calculus AB and BC
AP Statistics
AP Literature I and II
AP Art
AP Computer Science

I don't want to take AP World nor Gov't. I also can't make it to AP Calculus nor Statistics. I might be able to make it to AP Chem, however why take it even though Hotel Management has nothing related to science?
