<p>Coming to visit next week and need a decent hotel to stay in near campus. Can anyone recommend one?</p>

<p>There’s a Marriott literally a few steps off campus. It’s very nice but probably pricey. I’ve also stayed in a Holiday Inn (I believe) that isn’t too far and offers shuttles to campus and to the metro station.</p>
<p>The UMD website does have a list of nearby accomodations. I believe it’s under the prospective students, freshman, then visit campus section.</p>
<p>The aforesaid marriot is very nice, and in an extremely convenient location, basically ON campus, but it ain’t cheap.</p>
<p>my parents usually stay at the hampton inn. it’s a little bit down route 1, but generally not too far from campus. it’s also decently priced. much better than the marriott.</p>
<p>We are going next week also, and I got a $60 rate from Hotwire at a Holiday Inn 6 miles from campus. The Marriott was $219/night.</p>
