Hotel recommendations?

Does anyone have recommendations on hotels near Otterbein? Thanks!

There are three bed and breakfasts within a block of campus - The College Inn, The Westerville Inn and The College and Grove B&B. We stayed at The College Inn - it was nice being so close to campus that we could just leave the car and walk everywhere (including the uptown district, which is only a block away).

As far as off-campus hotels - The Baymont Inn is probably the closest one - south on State St. a mile or two, just off of 270 - it is a pretty basic, but functional hotel. I think there are some other hotels one exit north on 270, at the Cleveland Ave exit, including an Embassy Suites - and others near the Polaris shopping area off of 71 (the address there is actually Columbus). I hope others can chime in with recommendations.

A good place to eat in Westerville is the Old Bag of Nails Pub on State St. And you should also check out the Otterbein Dining Hall!

For the audition - vocal performance - we stayed at the Comfort Inn in Polaris one night - got iced in and stayed at the Baymont the second night. The Baymont was fine for one night and because it was older, was actually quieter than the newer and nicer Comfort Inn. When we visited for sample lesson and tour, we stayed at the Sheraton. I used either Hotwire or Priceline for the stays other than the Baymont. There are lots of choices within a few miles of Westerville in the Polaris area, the Worthington area and Columbus North.

I've stayed at most of the places mentioned, but my new economical favorite is the Ramada Columbus North (6767 Schrock Hill Court, Columbus, OH). It has a Columbus address but is only 2 miles from campus, so it is actually closer than any of the Polaris Parkway locations...and usually about $20-$30 cheaper per night. When I'm making an "event" out of a visit, I use one of the B&Bs; otherwise, I now head for the Ramada.

Thanks for all of the great recommendations! I opted for "close" and booked a room at the College Inn.
