Hotel School List, Need Revision and Advice

I'm a junior, and I am interested in the Hospitality major.

My list of colleges I will probably be applying to/working on over the summer:

my gpa ranges from 3.0-3.5 depending on how i do this semester
My first SAT score was 1980.

Reach:
NYU
Boston U
Penn State - University Park

Good Fit:
University of Nevada - Las Vegas
Purdue
Michigan State U (Some say it's a safety for me)
Univ. of Wisc. - Stout ( I hear Mariott recruits a lot from here? )

Safety:
Cal Poly Pomona
U of Houston

I had Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne in mind, but I read their age requirements and I don't fit. I gradaute at age 17, and I enter college at age 17 (assuming my college life starts on Sept. '07) And I will be 17 until Dec. of '07. Sadly EHL requires that I be 18 by the time their program starts..... Anyone know any other good abroad Hotel Programs I might even have a 1% chacne at . Or even here in the states! Thanks!

Cornell wouldn't be unreasonable if you get your SAT up a bit more. I'd add that too :)

OSU offers a good hospitality major; they even own their own hotel that parents stay in which is student-run.

Oops; I made a mistake. OSU's hospitality is more grad than undergrad. sorry.

In my opinion, and maybe this is only because I'm a local, but I think UNLV could very easily be a safety. There are quite a few people who get into UNLV with less than a 3.0 GPA.

I'm not sure, but doesn't Boston College offer a hospitality major?

Hmmm.. Boston College...? and yeah UNLV coudl sure be a safety but then again I am out of state so it might be alittle tougher for me to get intO?

Penn State is no reach for you...even out-of-state. BU is only a slight reach.

apply to Cornell...they have the best in the country

Cornell's tough, and this guy needs a higher GPA and SATs in order to have a shot.

yeah i purposely took out Cornell because Cornell u eitehr need average gpa/sat with HELLA LOT OF experience or HIGH GPA/SAT

If you don't mind me asking, why a hospitality major? You don't need to answer if you do indeed mind.

mainly to get into the ohtel management and tourism management career field

a friend of mine (non legacy, non urm) got into hotel with 2010 and 3.6uw...so its definitely possible with low scores.

Univ. of Wisc. - Stout is a safety
