What type of fit do the guys at the Hotel school look for in applicants. What kinda attributes and interest are they talking about?

You better have some sort of experience with hotel/service industry. Applying to hotel school is more similar to a job interview than a college application. You get an interview for hotel school and that interview MATTERS.

I got the second sentence above straight from the mouth of the Hotel School interviewer who interviewed my friend.

Alright thank you, so I’m assuming its less gpa/sat focused and more essay/interview?

Yes for sure. I am a current frosh in the hotel school. It is amazing!!!
Hotelie admissions is less concerned with gpa/test scores and more concerned with interview and your extracurriculars. Your interview definately plays a big role in your acceptance. This year, the dean said 92% frosh had prior experience in the hospitality industry. this is very important.
best of luck! if you have any questions, feel free to ask/PM me.
