<p>They will admit almost anyone into the Summer College. LTMC is an amazing experience though!! Good Luck to your daughter.</p>
<p>Oh, and you do not have to worry about SAT scores nearly that much. The MOST IMPORTANT thinkg is dedication to HOTELS, HOSPITALITY, and the HOTEL SCHOOL.</p>

<p>I just saw your second post. She is totally dedicated to hospitality and the hotel school. It's the only place she wants to go, and the only career she is interested in. She is looking for a hotel job, and they are trying to help her find a job through school as well, but they are having a hard time because, as I read above, they do not want to hire people under 18.</p>
<p>Ec's, however, are hospitality related...working with homeless program where they run a shelter for area homeless (she sets up beds, serves food, makes lunches, etc..) , will participate in DECA competitions in hospitality, and will hopefully find a good job in hospitality industry, at least for summer.</p>
<p>I know that SAT's are not as important as in some of the other schools at Cornell, but there is a minimum, and she has not been able to get there yet, which is very frustrating to her because she is working so hard at it.</p>
<p>Michigan State also seems to have a very good program, but it's so far from NY! There's also several other schools as well, but she has her heart set on Cornell, and as a parent who wants to see her kid happy, it makes me worried that it might not happen for her.</p>

<p>You may find this link helpful: Look at the percentage who have below 600 on an SAT subject. Seriously, there is no minimum!!! Just make sure that she gets recs from the right people, Namely, those who can attest to her passion for hotels.</p>
