We are heading to Auburn on 4/13 to visit the campus. Any hotels recommendations?

The Hotel at Auburn is very nice and it is right across the street. My daughter and I stayed there when we visited last year. The beds were very comfortable. Now, if you are more of an outdoors person the Chewacla State Park is only 4 miles away from the campus and you can rent newly renovated cabins to stay in. We are returning to Auburn in May for Camp War Eagle and will stay at the State Park.

The Fairfield Inn in Opelika is very nice too. My wife & daughter stayed there during last Fall for a campus visit. Here’s the link [Fairfield Inn & Suites Auburn Opelika: Earn Rewards points and stay productive when traveling to Auburn](Hotel in Opelika, Alabama | Fairfield Inn & Suites Auburn)

Second the Fairfield in Opelika. Very nice hotel. On the outskirts of a mall, so great food opportunities. Marble Slam Creamery and Arby’s very nearby, for inexpensive quick meals/snacks. Earn those points! Good free breakfast. Not far from the campus. Fit a family of three comfortably.

I was looking to try to give him as much exposure to Auburn and the city as possible. It seems like the Hotel at Auburn is as close as it get. I could pull some of my points and try to stay a night for free, but I kind of like the idea to walk to downtown for dinner. Does it really matter?

How about the Holiday Inn?

We stayed at the Inn at Auburn and really liked where it was. It’s right across from the school (library, specifically) and just down the street is a number of restaurants, bars, shops, coffee houses, etc. Great college atmosphere. You’ll get a real feel for the place if you stay there and get out in the evening.

Thank you! I went ahead and booked at the Hotel at Auburn. I cost a bit more but I think it will give our S a better experience. In the future if we come back will definitively stay at the Fairfield Inn or Holiday Inn.

Will post back on how the visit goes… regards

For lower cost stays, I love the Jameson Inn. It is basically in a shopping mall parking lot, with lots of food nearby. Included in the stay is a small continental breakfast and we really loved the staff. Rooms are comfortable, and the location is a 5-minute drive to campus. Prices go way up on football weekends, but the average rate is around $79.00 per night.

Make sure you see Toomer’s Corner. Get some lemonade there. And eat at Cheeburger Cheeburger, maybe, or Mama G’s or Niffer’s.

Hey lapagan, you can also check out [Auburn University - Find hotels near Auburn University!](http://auburn.universityhotelnetwork.com/). Hope this helps.

Just noticed this is an old post.
