i have taken a gap year coz it was only after my 12th grade did i decide to go the U.S. to study instead of staying in India and didnt want to rush up applications..
applying Ed to middlebury and should mostly get in too..</p>
<p>1]have u got any suggestions on what to do with the LOADS of free time that I have??[like volunteer ,work etc..] </p>
<p>2] are there any jobs on campus eg. someone told me that maya [computer langage] is hottt and some ppl who need tutuions in it even pay upto 60$/hr.. so there any skill i can pick up from here that will help me in jobs on campus or maybe even after i graduate?? thanks!</p>

<p>make sure you do well on your SATs and the rest of your college app. people who take gap years tend to forget that they still need to get into college.
as for the jobs, if you're an indian citizen which i'm supposing, you really can't find work that are very high paying since you get only on campus jobs. If you're not on fin aid then that makes you in a worse situations because you only get non work study jobs and those are harder to find.</p>
<p>For now, focus on getting into college. worry about making money once you see how different the american system is from the indian.</p>

have loads of free time and thought by learning a skill which will help me later for any jobs i wont have to worry about where to get the funds from.. </p>

<p>I don't know what jobs are available in middlebury for students, but most students here with jobs either bag groceries, store clerks, or are bus drivers for the city.</p>
