I’m studing a related field to compsci so I’ve taken some classes and honestly, it was kind of boring and not really many hot guys in that major :/

But I would say most science majors and fine arts majors (fine arts like studio arts and music I mean).

I guess we associate it with hotness because it’s so rare. I know I don’t associate it with hotness because it’s masculine… if I wanted masculine well I wouldn’t be talking about girls now would I?

Because it’s rare for girls to be into physics or math or engineering or computer science, so not only would such a girl share our interests, but at the same time she wouldn’t think we were boring, or a freak, etc. We wouldn’t be a one-dimensional nerdlinger to her.

I saw a cartoon that said “the fourth law of thermodynamics is to never discuss the rest of them on a first date,” and showed a geeky looking guy showing equations to a bored-looking girl. I thought “not only does this cartoon say ‘girls are bored by science’ but it also says ‘if you’re into science, your interests aren’t worth sharing.’” I felt devalued by the cartoon.

Personally, I like biology or English guys. or political science. Don’t know why, I just do. Although i think that politics would be fun to debate/discuss.

LOL this thread is awesome. xD
Personally, I like fine arts types, EXCEPT theatre majors (ick). And I also really like math/science/engineering types, BUT only if they are decent looking, have good social skills and do not have bad asian accents. Yes.

I find it humorous that so many guys find girls in engineering attractive. It surprises me really. I like guys in pretty much any non liberal arts or business major, with certain conditions, stipulations and exceptions of course.

Sadly, the boys here are quite on the average side as far as looks. Not like that matters in the long run, since we’re all going to get old anyhow.

But generally speaking, these are the majors of boys I tend to find attractive:
-foreign language
-Physics or Chemistry (provided that science isn’t all they can do; that they know how to talk and write and other liberal-artsy stuff)
-some psychology majors
-anyone in the health sciences

I find guys who are in computer science or engineering or in what I consider the “not-so-useful” majors (philosophy, history) least attractive. Also, those bound for law school tend to be a huge turnoff for me.

-Architectual Studies
-International Relations (similar studies)
-Health Studies (pre-med, med schools-- doctors can be hot)
-PhD in math–just kidding.
