I'm glad I found this forum. My daughter will be a freshman in the fall. We have visited the campus twice and there are a several dorms she has an interest in based on room type and location. How do they assign rooms? I understand that she will be given a choice of rooms based on how she fills out her housing application. I would appreciate any insight on the housing at Mizzou.

I received my housing 201 today, and basically students get to choose EVERYTHING so long as they are on top of it and sign up as soon as they can.

Just go to roar.missouri.edu

It’ll show the date when you can login. You simply login with your pawprint and password, and then choose your room. I believe first it asks your smoking preference. Then it asks whether you want to live in a learning community, FIG, or just a regular floor. Then I believe you select your hall. Then I think it asks you if you want to room with someone in particular (I think it asks for your paw print here). And then you choose a room from the list of available rooms.

It’s pretty painless. You’ll see how easy it is once you login to ROAR.

anyone know why it says there are no rooms available even when i choose any dorm with any room type? roar says i should choose less amenities but that’s kind of impossible because i didn’t even pick any to begin with.

wait until May 1st, which is the last day to drop your commitment and get your money back. they are supposed to be spots that open up around then, again.
