I'm incoming freshman. and I need some Housing advices!
Any idea?

anyone know if its worth it to get a suite?
you know the video tour of frontier/territorial on the housing website? is it an accurate representation of the rooms or are they made to look nicer than they actually are?

still considering between Comstock and Frontier. i chose frontier for my first choice. but don’t know. hmmm. people said that comstock is a quite hall. but i sometimes feel that i want a quite room. but, at the same time, i want a cheerful atmosphere!!

i have no idea about suite. but, umm, I believe that ALL video/photos are made to look much better than they really are.

-pioneer and centennial have a lot of singles-if you didnt apply early enough to get one of the doubles then they stick you in a single…unless you prefer a single in which case apply for these two-they have a great middle ground for atmosphere-its not as crazy or loud as t-hall (territorial) and frontier can be

-comstock has hardly any freshman so it is tougher to make friends because they all live in the superblock or in middlebrook

-sanford is really nice but has no air conditioning and its mainly athletes-its also in kind of a weird location being way on the edge of campus

-territorial is one of the two all-freshmen dorms - everyone loves it but I’ve heard from students that it is hardly ever quiet, it smells like alcohol most of the time, and that people do some pretty stupid stuff

-frontier is the other all freshman dorm. It’s still a little loud and crazy with freshmen antics, but it’s not quite as bad as territorial from what I have been told by students at the U - it seems like a solid middle ground. This is where I’m hoping to live next year.

-middlebrook is the nicest of the dorms and its especially nice that it has suite style bathrooms that are only shared by four people but its on west bank which is kinda removed from all the action…and its pretty quiet and there are a lot of music and theater types-not so many sports fans and stuff. It is also a little more expensive but it’s not too big of a difference. Personally, I just think it would be more convenient living in the superblock

I am hoping to get into university village for the fall, and I was wondering what the atmosphere is like. Even though I will be a transfer student, I still want the opportunity to meet new people. It isn’t to quiet there is it? If anybody knows something about the apartment life and the quality of the apartments, please let me know as I haven’t had a chance to tour them.

Thanks!
