Are they filled out online or on paper and sent through the mail?

you can do both, but you'll have to wait for them to be sent in the mail. Once you get them, there's a link you can use for online form stuff.

I have a link online, but the housing form is for last year. Do ED acceptances get to apply for housing early or do we have to wait until the spring?

you have to wait until spring. it's not like it's first come first serve. Everyone, including RD matriculants, who submits before some set deadline is "equal" in his chances of getting the housing he wants.

"It's unfair; we applied early!" No, it's not; they're just as much cornellian as you are :)

No, I was just wondering if that was one of the perks of applying early to Cornell. It seems like a reasonable incentive to get more kids to apply ED (and allows for more of a guaranteed influx of students, thus improving Cornell's stats). I was just wondering why they would even bother to put up the old link if we were supposed to wait--just seemed kind of odd.

the old link has been up since last year i assume. Last year's ED students saw the spring '09 and fall '08 forms.

That's the weird thing, even after I was accepted it did not show up until last week.

who knows...cornell works in mysterious ways.
