Anyone heard anything about dorm or roommate assignments? Think I remember they said mid-July so hopefully it will be soon. Will it be e-mail or snail mail?

A RA at Clemson told he already knows where everyone will be living next year and I have heard rumors that housing will come out tomorrow. The place I think you should look at is housing.clemson.edu
There’s a link on the right side that says “Assignments Look Up”

By the way, I’m supposedly in Calhoun Courts though I didn’t even request it
hopefully I can change it

Pierre when did you apply to Clemson? I know they said that people who applied earliest get first preference. Not sure if that is true.

ps What housing did you request Pierre? (If you dont mind me asking)

Maureen

Ok the reason that I lost housing priority was because I changed my housing options after May 1st which I was not aware of that it could happen. I applied to Clemson late November so if I hadn’t changed my preferences after May 1st I probably would’ve gotten my 1st choice.

My choices were
- RISE (Residents In Science and Engineering)
- Johnstone Annex
- Shoeboxes
- Byrnes
- Johnstone Main

those dorms must be packed this year so they had to overflow me into Calhoun Courts. I’m not gonna complain though because it’s an apartment with 4 people to a bathroom and a kitchen and a lot larger space haha. Might try to see if I can get switched to the Civics & Service House dorm in Clemson House.

I heard from somebody that housing assignments might be up at 5 PM or that a email will be sent later today. Hopefully that’s true cause I wanna know who my roommates are haha

my daughter recieved her housing assignment last Friday and was talking to her room mate. Today her future roomate said she recieved a letter she will be moved in a month because of overflow housing. That doesn’t make sense to me because they are two freshmen in a freshman dorm. Have you ever heard of this?

skiier1, I know someone who has been put into a converted study room/closet room which has no windows. It’s not meant to be a room but Clemson is really in desperate shape housing wise. They will be moved as space opens up. Don’t take me for what I’ve heard though, it could be a normal room but that’s just what I’ve heard from someone assigned to an overflow room in Byrnes
