I understand that there is no on campus housing for seniors. Is there affordable housing nearby for the college student and how far off campus is it? S would probably have a car then, but must you have one to get to campus?

I've never heard of a senior who has had trouble finding housing off campus. In fact, many students opt to live off campus before they even become seniors! I think it would help very much to have a car, or to live with someone who had one (remember a person is very unlikely to be living by themselves). I don't think anyone living off campus could walk to campus. The campus is on a secluded road off the main road. I love it here. If you have any more questions feel free to ask me.

Jewls, thanks. I just wanted to know if you must have a car. At some other schools you are able to live off campus and either walk, or catch a bus or shuttle. I guess you had better have a car to live off campus here. I am glad that you are enjoying campus. I read some of your posts from last year. Have fun. Thanks for coming back to help future students. Oh, Jewls have you used the shuttles to get to New Haven, Hamden, for shopping, social activities, etc., and if so how often do they run, and do students use them frequently?

I've only actually used the shuttle once to go into Hamden and it was great! In one area they had a Walmart, Bon Ton, Stop and Shop, Marshall's, Staples, Old Navy, Gap, Bed Bath and Beyond, Sears, Applebees, Chilli's and a Fridays, just to name a few. My roommates have taken the shuttle into New Haven to go to clubs (i'm not 18 yet) and a friend of mine took the shuttle to Union Station. So far the shuttle's have been extremely reliable. I haven't heard of anyone having a problem with them. I would say they run about every 45 minutes and they're very popular with everyone, whether it's going to buy stuff for the dorm rooms or going into New Haven for a Thursday or weekend.

Oh, good to know thanks.
