Is there a date on when the housing and dining app is released for incoming freshman?

February. Sorry I don’t know the exact date. But usually it is available after the decision deadline when all freshmen applicants are informed, which is late February.

As soon as it comes available, make sure you fill it out so you can have a higher chance of getting your first choice.

thank you very much

don’t you have to apply for a lottery number? you have to apply for a lottery number between jan. 19-jan 31

Incoming freshmen do not have to apply for a lottery number.

It is only for current students. Unlike continuing students, incoming freshman are guaranteed housing. All you have to do is fill out that application online when it becomes available and indicate your campus preference in order.

Do incoming freshman get preference in housing that is close to where most of their classes will be? For example, if I accept an offer to the engineering school will I be afforded an opportunity to live close to where those classes are held? Thanks. Sorry I’m asking a lot of questions but I just got my acceptance notification and I’m nervous about all the things to consider.

On Busch, there are two dorms designated for first years students in the engineering school: Barr Hall, which is Co-ed, and Mattia Hall, which is all-male. So you’ll most likely live there next fall.

In general though, you don’t get your preference of housing because of where your classes are since most people have classes all over the place. But if you fill out the housing application early when it comes out in February (don’t know the exact date), then you’ll most likely get your first choice campus.

how much do we have to deposit for the housing? Also when is the deadline for housing
