..........

Anyone know why New Rez Single isnt an option?
Dio and Prez too?

random question bixtwix: are you alex boring on facebook? if so, i dont particularly like being used on the facebook wall group as something along the lines of "well this guy got in with much lesser stats, so you shouldnt worry about yourself...". btw, i am also a girl.

i dont exactly mind publicity, but seriously.

New Rez singles are exclusively for scholarship holders because all scholarship holders get their first choice.

The housing app is up?! Does this just apply to those who hadn't previously indicated that they wanted to apply for housing? Were admitted students who need housing supposed to do something? Sorry for all the questions but I'm probably going to go to McGill and I don't want to miss out on housing! Thanks!

No need to worry.
McGill im pretty sure guarantees housing for first year students.
And second, on minerva, once you are accepted, you fill out a little quesionaire thingie basically listing your housing preferences in order (ranking all options), 3 adjectives that describe yourself, if you care abour having a smoker or nonsmoker roomate, and a little section to write any special concerns/interests.

But, they dont even look at anything until june. And they pick housing apps at random and then fill them if they can, or move on to your second/third/4th choice and so on. So you could be the very last person of like 2500 students to turn in their housing apps, but could be the 300th app picked (or even first)and therefore get a whatever dorm you want, assuming that one of the smaller dorms like douglas wasnt all filled in the first 300 apps.

beyond the new rez, does anyone know which dorms are the best? And how long does it take for that residence question thing to show up on their website after you've been accepted?

if you go to youtube you can type in the different dorms and there's videos these guys made about the dorms. douglass looks nice also, but they come with different meal plans than new rez.

quick note about the "questionnaire" .. since most of the Rez's are single, the survey is pretty much how the floor fellows pick and choose their floors. Keep that in mind when you're deciding if reverse psychology is the best approach.. ie, if you don't smoke, chances are the corner of your hall doesn't smoke.
