Do I have to accept my admission into the university in order to apply for housing? I understand that A&M dorms fill up quickly, but I’m not willing to commit my attendance. This is my second choice school, while my first will not be releasing decisions concerning majors until Dec-Feb.
You can register for housing without accepting your offer. Priority is given to those who sign up within 30 days of admission offer, so many people are in the same situation. New Student Conference registration is what they use for acceptance, however, it too is not binding but does require a non-refundable deposit.Housing deposit is refundable.
@agmomx2, do you mean the $50 housing deposit is refundable if you decided not to attend TAMU ?
Sorry I meant the $300 deposit is refundable, the application fee is now $50 - use to be $25 - that portion isn’t refundable.
