Hey, I could not submit my housing application before the May 1 deadline because I was still deciding whether to go to UCLA or not until the last minute.

On the website it says that ppl admitted late have 15 days after to submit the application. By "admit", does it mean ppl who accepted decisions late?

Or am I seriously screwed? I still havent done it since I dunno squat about UCLA housing and ive been busy with schoolwork since May 1.

Honestly, you should have sent in your SIR and housing anyway, you only would have lost $130 and people do it all the time. I remember I appealed elsewhere and everyone cut me off (friends, teachers, principal) saying that regardless if I knew that if my appeal didn't go through I would go to UCLA then I better send in my stuff anyway.

You are only guaranteed housing providing certain things and one of them is submitting your application and payment on time. SO do it today and cross your fingers. Maybe call them too, let them know what's going on.

I will totally make a phone call on Monday.

Anyways, what do you think my odds are of getting housing now? I live in norcal so it will totally suck for me to have to find off-campus housing first year. Is there anyone on this board who had turned in late housing applications in previous years? I wanna kno how it went for u ppl.

well guessing from the reason they have a deadline I think they want everyone to apply before the deadline and won't accept any more after the deadline otherwise what is the point for a deadline? just call and good luck with it I guess...
