Has anyone received either their housing assignment or their confirmed course schedule? DD is holding off on book purchases until she has her confirmed schedule and I feel like the clock is ticking. And of course she is eager to contact and get to know her roommate.

August 9th??? Is that official? Time is moving quickly and it seems we are the only school that has not heard anything yet!!!!!!!!!!! The info said the first week of august....the 9th is not the first week

Everybody take a deep breath!! Every year it seems people get so freaked about when they find out their schedule and housing. If it's the 9th you still have plenty of time!! I bought the stuff I knew I personally needed (bedding, towels and that stuff) and when I got my room mate, we decided on the other stuff togther which is mainly the refrigerator/micro/TV/fans issues. It actually was good because we got some stuff on sale because it was getting to the end of season sales. We waited until we got there for a few weeks before we got a rug. It's not like if you get colors that don't exactly match, the world will end! They have sales at school so we bought some posters and bulleting boards and stuff together.
You can always wait until the first couple classes to be sure you need certain books anyway.

friends of mine got email about room assignment last night, so far all the kids from my school got assignments already. Check facebook, most have gotten it already.

oh with the udsis page, sometimes when you log in it will take you to a page with a search option and another 'self service' link. its alot easier to just click the link and then click on 'student center' than just searching for everything one by one. i hope this helps

Thanks CT dad!! I didn't think I was spewing!! It was exactly the same kind of advice my cousin gave me when I was freaking that I didn't know who my room mate was or what my schedule was going to be and OMG IT'S AUGUST AND I LEAVE IN LIKE 3 WEEKS! He said, to chill -things happen when they happen and you'll deal with it!!! And you know, he was absolutley right! My parents weren't a whole lot sympathetic to my spazziness either cuz they met their roomies the day they moved in and got their schedules at the same time!! I've tried to take that attitude with me to school. There is no sense in getting hyper over things that you can't really change, like the fact that it seems that all your professors plan big tests/projects/presentations for the same week!! EEK!!! You just have to deal!!!
