No problem, sciency!! To add to the above: I forgot about the bells--this affects a lot of dorms, from Canaday to Weld to Thayer. They bothered me the first two or three days, but by the time classes started (about a week in), I was definitely sleeping through them. I think that's how it is for most people, that you just get used to them after a little. They go off starting at 8:45 am and then continue at 9:00 on the hour until late afternoon I think.

mj<3--It depends on which Canaday you're in, but as you can tell from the map of dorms posted above, the whole dorm is sort of a question-mark shape from above. Canaday has a cute little courtyard between some of its entryways that people will hang out in sometimes. It's right next to Annenberg and the Sci Center, as well as many of the academic buildings if you're in G or F. Canaday's vertical entryways are all separated from each other structurally, unlike other vertical entryways, which are all housed in the same buildings even though you can't move from one to the other without going outside. They go up four floors, with I think about three rooms on each floor (singles, too). Each floor is single sex and shares a bathroom (about 12 people will share). It's the most modern dorm, built in the 70s to be riot-proof. If you're in a suite, you'll probably have a large carpeted common room with smallish bedrooms (likely 2 doubles, 2 singles).
