Housing assignments!

freshman were allowed modern singles this year because they overbookeed and had to give some modern singles out to house everyone.

I will be in Koenig 4414. Koenig will be connected to the new Liggett (just built) so it will be like one big ass house. I wonder what they're gonna officially name the college. Well if anyone else gets a room in Koenig 4, let me know. We will most def have the most live floor. I believe Koenig 4 is where triples in Koenig are and they are freaking huge!!

They'll probably name it something tight like Koenig-Liggett.

Running Maniac...Go to Beaumont-219 and say high to my S (Chris) whose living there for the summer too! He will be one of the Resident Advisors at Beaumont this upcoming year. His room is nice...He gets to live alone in a double--!

Cool, thanks gl7.

missmolly: WOW dang that's cool--alone in a double ;)

If you become an RA junior year most likely you will get to live alone in a double.

Raise your hand if you can't wait to get your housing assignment! Raises both hands

Raise your hand if you got the hook up and already know your housing assignment ::raises both hands::

Unfortunately transfer students like me have no hook ups :( lol

jeffwun i know your room well...it is HUGE...you're incredibly lucky...

Jeff how do you know your room number and stuff? I thought that info wasn't even available for another three days or so

You can access it through (I think) the ResTech website, but only if you log in from the WashU network. So, if you know someone on campus, you can find out.

yeah, I found out my house assignment from res tech while i was on campus; however, Tuesday, we should all know our futures, lol!

So, hmm, has anybody tried VPN'ing into the Wash U network to look at housing info?

Eh, I'd rather wait three days than go through the trouble of figuring all that out.

It actually took about 3 minutes--one minute to find the link to the student version of the VPN client on the computing website, one minute to download the client, and one minute to do a restart. The Olin kids got paperwork listing their VPN username and password. And you're likely to need the VPN client sooner or later.

But that said, it didn't work anyway. Which is actually a little strange because in general the Wash U network shouldn't be able to tell the difference between being on campus and being VPN'ed in. So wondering if we were looking in the right place, we were on WebStac.

I tried the same thing but I'm not Olin so I couldn't even login to the VPN client. Someone earlier in the thread said you access it at restech, so try there.

You have to click on the self serve tab on restech.wustl.edu. Tell us if it works!

Notice on the restech site that self service tab is shut down until August 1st. Guess they figured out people were seeing dorm assignments early.

PS, not that it matters since the tab is shut down, but at Olin the format for VPN client username is YOUREMAILUSERNAMEINCAPS@olin (where the olin part is not in caps), so maybe you can extrapolate to figure out what it would be for artsci etc. And for Olin at least the VPN client password is the same as email password.

what is the olin address
