Housing Assignments

Get the coupon from macys.com. I think you might get an additional discount with a macy’s card. I didn’t go shopping every day only because I was so swamped.

Thanks for that. I might have to go after mid terms to de stress myself out. haha

/rant

So third time=charm. I’m moving to Carlyle this weekend. :)

Anyone been in Tower 3 for Carlyle? Oh, and I forgot if the A room was the living room or the bedroom. Suite F.

Hooray Future…I’m moving to 2nd street this weekend. Yay

nyu44, what floor in 2nd street? PM me! I live there and we’ve got tons of awesome stuff going on this month/next month.

Kelly I’m on the 2nd floor. I know the room are pretty small, but are they really nice?

Awesome  The rooms are fine, some are bigger than others, it REALLY depends on your location within the hall. Some of the corner rooms are pretty sizeable (enough to unbunk the beds and have a decent amount of personal space), but some of the rooms are pretty tiny. The bathrooms are nice though, all of them that I’ve seen are new looking and nice, and the rooms are really clean and nice, if a little hospital-esque.

Oh that’s good to hear

Yay me. I’m checking in tonight.

hey future: how hard was it for you to move everything? did your parents help you or did you take a taxi?

I haven’t moved everything yet. I took a taxi. I was going to rent a zipcar but I didn’t join and plus I don’t trust myself to drive in New York City and get through it unscathed.

btw, suitcases are your friend. If you don’t mind making multiple trips, I’d pack everything in suitcases (if you have any) and bring them over. I’ve been doing that all week.

It’s so nice to be out of lafayette.

Agreed. I write this as I look out the window into Union Square Park.

NYU students, what are the best options for housing as a freshman? I heard that hayden hall is nice, but apparently the rooms are much older and crappier… whereas there is a more spacious place on 3rd north or something?

3rd north rooms are pretty small, but if you want a real kitchen, then that’s your only option. I hear the rooms at Founder’s Hall are nice. Hayden is a hit or miss-the rooms vary in size. I hear Weinstein looks like a prison. Goddard is really close to campus. Brittany and Rubin don’t have A/C so beware.

Oh wow! Thank you!!!

Is Founder Hall anywhere near classes? I know I definitely won’t go for Birttany or Rubin :p

Founders is right up the street from Third North on 12th. It’s about a 7 minute walk from classes. You’ll make it in 5 if you’re fast.

Hey, when did you guys start getting notification of dorm assignments and all?

hey, can anyone tell me how the low-cost triples at Rubin are?
thanks
