Housing Assignments

If you got a triple, it'll say so. if it just lists a hall name, i think you can assume you're in a double.

Does anyone know what my chances are of getting a single in Coral Towers? I am a sophomore incoming transfer and I thought it was pretty weird to even get Coral, but I'm really interested in the single within the suite. Has anyone heard who usually gets those? Thanks.

Hey, I got placed in 3rd North too for some reason. I requested a traditional (which I thought NYU would definitely honor) and listed my choices as Hayden, Rubin, Weinstein (which I knew might not be honored). I tried calling Housing, but all their phone lines are busy. So I e-mailed them a few days ago, telling them I wanted to switch dorms. No response yet. If I am stuck at 3rd North, which meal plan should I get? Would 10 meals per week be too much or too little, based on the cafeteria food? Is a microwave provided at 3rd North (Fridge, stove, oven are provided.)?

you have to provide your own microwave.

fridge is provided, stove yes, and i THINK an oven too (wouldn't see why not the oven)

I still haven't found out where I'm living. I wonder if transfer students find out later..

ahhhhhhhhh! I got university court. my last choice. does anyone know anything about this dorm?

did you get it in the mail or online?

onliiiine. account summary in albert--and it should say there

Me and my friend requested to be roomates in a double but we ended up in a triple at Rubin. It seems that there are many similar cases like ours... does anybody know what went on? i'm not really a fussy person but it'd much rather get a double. any advice on resolving the situation?

Ceruleanne -

I'm in UCourt as well, and from I've heard we should pretty happy about it. Supposedly it's quiet (a good thing for me, at least), clean and has nice rooms. Go to www.livejournal.com/community/nyuhousing and look under userinfo, then memories, and finally University Court to see pics of a studio double...it looks very nicely maintained. And the location is not too bad - it's just blocks away from Gramercy, Madison Square and Union Square. Plus it's NYC...you can get anywhere by just walking a bit.

Are we supposed to be listed as a roommate on our own mailing sheet/letter?

I have received my housing assignment letter in the mail a few days ago...so everyone else should be receiving theres shortly. MY roomate hasnt received his yet tho, so I dont know if NYU mailed them all out at the same time.
