I would pick any of the traditional dorms (ex. Broward, Jennings, Trusler, etc.) - almost everyone I've met really likes/liked their experience and feel it was good for their first year.

I initially wanted to live in beaty or lakeside BUT ended up getting a perm. triple in broward. I was livid, but in the end I think it worked out pretty well- it was cheaper compared to the other more "private" dorms and I've met a lot of people here that I dont think I wouldve met in the "private" dorms. Oh! and the whole communal bathroom thing didnt turn out to be such a big deal.

if you have any other questions just message me.

Rawlings, Broward, and Jennings are the traditional freshmen dorms. Over summer b, Jennings was the best for parties/meeting people and in the fall it was probably Broward. I lived in Jennings over the summer and in Rawlings for fall. Jennings was definitely a bit crazier (also b/c it was summer), but I like Rawlings better overall (or at least my floor now) because it's friendly, but still relatively quiet and it is in the best location of the 3 (on Newell near the bell tower and most freshmen classes).

2. Even if you are of age, you cannot drink of campus. It’s a Dry campus so all your Residential Hall Assistances are there to check and make sure there is no alcohol in any of the dorms, ever.

Not true. Once you turn 21, your room turns "wet" and the RA's could care less if you have alcohol in it. If you start having parties out your room, then that's going to be a problem.

I've heard there are mixed opinions on Hume. I know what people claim the positive aspects of it are, but other than hearing "I didn't really like it", I haven't heard too many negatives, which is an opinion I'd like to hear.

As far as Hume being a social dorm, I hear it depends on the floor, where as a dorm like Broward would always be social.
