If you’re not in Honors what do you recommend for housing? What is International House like?
Son or daughter? Any preference for co-Ed vs single sex dorm? Potential major?
Daughter in the International Business program. Probably prefers Co-Ed. Thanks
Business learning community might be of interest, if you haven’t already explored options

I think the Business LLC will be housed at 650 Lincoln. This is a brand new building (2 buildings, actually) located close to the Business School and the Fitness Center. They cost more than the regular dorms but have some really nice conveniences like dishwashers, washer/dryer in unit, outdoor pools, etc.
Patterson has a great location, but is all women. My kid has friends at Green Quad who really like it there.
Sorry, I don’t have any info on International House.
We visited International House at Accepted Students Day in January. The people were extremely friendly and they had a lot of activities, really nice activities, actually, but it was quite worn. It reminded me of my college friends’ dorms and apartments of 30 years ago.
Thanks for the insight everyone, my D has just been invited to the Capstone program does any have an opinion. on capstone housing?
Since the housing app. only shows Learning Comm. (of which you are to choose your top 5), how do you determine which dorms are associating with these LC’s? Is there a list somewhere that gives this info.?
@cb4kidsmom my D does not live in Capstone but visits there and thinks it is a lot of fun. Students prop their doors open (when they’re there) and mingle much more than in her dorm. If your D joins that program I bet she will be happy there.
@ cb4kidsmom, my USC jr D lived in Capstone house freshman and sophomore yr and now lives in an off campus apt with 3 girls who were on her Capstone hall freshman year . She has remained close with almost everyone from her floor freshman yr. I couldn’t be happier with the group of friends she has.She was able to meet people from all different states and they are a highly motivated and involved group of students.I also thought it was great that freshman year each floor on Capstone would decide which goals they would set each semester ( ie volunteer , achieve a 4.0 etc)…it kept them accountable and I feel being involved in that type of community really made for a smooth transition to college that first semester . Most of the students in her dorm were highly involved students in high school so it was nice to have like minded students in the dorm . Many of her guy friends from the floor freshman yr are also now living friends who they met in Capstone freshman year . I highly recommend it!
^^ also just realized your d is in International business …many of d s capstone friends are in that major …capstone dorm is definitely a good place to meet others in that major !
Anyone know if Capstone has music practice rooms for school of music students?
