Hello, I have recently been accepted into UCSB and I am having trouble deciding on where to live.
I looked at the housing options that UCSB has to offer and it seems as though i am most likely going to end up sharing a room with someone else.
I will be living in the on campus apartments so I am choosing between El Dorado, Santa Ynez, or Westgate.
Does anyone know what these apartments are like to live in? Would it be worth it to pay extra to have the one occupant studio?

Westgate Apartments
westgate apartments

$675/month (floorplan)
studio (1 occupant)
$1187/month (floorplan)

so have you lived at westgate apartments? I am basically looking for opinions on what these places are like to live in - especially since i have never shared a room with anyone or lived in Santa Barbara

no that is just off the website

KiwiGirl- Are you a transfer or freshmen??

i visited, went to a housing fair, and walked by all my options (i’m a transfer)

i’m gonna rank them:

1) san rafael
2) manzanita
3) santa ynez
4) westgate
5) el dorado

out of the apartments, westgate is the closest and santa ynez looks the nicest, i can’t really think of a positive for el dorado
