Hi :)

Does anyone know how hard it is to get Webb Tower as a sophomore? And when we apply, and how to maximize chances? Would it be easier to get it if I got a few people together who want to room together?

Thanks!

It's probably the most difficult building to get through USC housing. There isn't any way to maximize your chances since it's all through a lottery system. When you and your friends sign up for the R3 process each one of you will be given a lottery number starting at 1000 and ending around 5000 (i think?). Anyway, unless you or one of your friends has a lottery number under 2000 it's pretty likely you won't get webb tower.

FYI, there won't be an R3 process this year. Instead, all current freshman will somehow (I assume a lottery) be alloted housing, then after they make sure there's enough space for the new freshmen, then the rest of the undergrads currently in USC housing will have the chance to reapply. The way the numbers work, I don't think that all upperclassmen in USC housing will be back in USC housing because I think the current freshmen will take advantage of their 2nd year of guaranteed housing.

OH, right. I totally forgot that we are guaranteed housing next year as well. Thanks guys!
