So pending responses from Michigan, Berkeley, and Vanderbilt I am probably going to end up studying engineering at UIUC. I want some student insight into the pros/cons of the different housing. I think I am going to choose between an Ike UH hall or private housing. Bromley seems like it has it all but it kind of seems too good to be true. I am definitely going to be rushing as the lifestyle in that environment is extremely similar to my hometown in CT. I’m a guy, I like to workout, I enjoy a good time, love getting outdoors, and I take school very seriously. Gimme any suggestions or insight if you have it. Thanks!
Bromley sounds good for what you’re looking for. It has a pretty big stereotype as the “pre-greek” housing, especially since it’s right in the center of all the fraternities .
Ok great thanks
We recently visited Newman, Presby and Hendrick. My son liked the community and facilities at Newman best. I agreed that it seemed far more vibrant and active than what we observed at the others. He is also considering university housing, depending on lottery time and where friends go. He is waiting to hear from other schools as well.
I haven’t been to Bromley since I attended UIUC. It seemed a bit dated then, but I’m sure they have remodeled to keep up with all the newer options near campus town. Hopefully you can get more info from some current residents.
Yes, take a look a Newman and see what you think. Great location and I’ve heard good things about the facility.
decided on Bromley
