I currently live in a triple on the 7th floor in Unit 1.

Is it too late to request a change? It's an all girls floor, so do you think that there would be a higher chance for me to get the change (assuming that there are girls out there who would prefer an all-girls floor)?

Do they only consider people with special reasons as to why they want to transfer? I heard that people requested the change right when they found out which rooms they were assigned to in the summer and got responses before move-in day. I knew that I should've requested, but my friends told me that it would be too late so I didn't bother.

If I request now, would I just be put on a list? How long do you think I'd get a response because I'm assuming that all the doubles in the units are full right now.

Since everybody has already moved in, I think it would be pretty difficult for you to get your room changed. Why would you want to do that anyway?

Almost certainly not. There are always a lot of students who do not get housing, and they have priority when rooms open up. You would be at the bottom of the wait list. I know a lot of people that tried to change rooms, but none of them were successful.

My roommates and I have different sleep schedules. I’m a pretty light sleeper. One of my roommates wakes up at 4-5am, and sleeps at around 10pm.

So it would be highly unlikely for me to get the change?

Highly unlikely. To be perfectly honest, that’s not much of an excuse. Everyone has different sleep schedules due to classes, and waking up due to roommates happens to everyone. You’ll get use to it!
