Housing Contract for Continuing Students

The message is that it gets emailed somewhere from mid-March to end of March. If anyone's applied for dorms, like me (I know, I'm a glutton for punishment!), please post here when you get the notice. Now that it's almost mid-March, I'm getting as obssessed as I was last year checking my UC acceptances! I just want a decent offer this time or look for alternative housing. thx

i got the housing offer email just now. unit 1 double in a mini suite.

If I didn't get one yet does that mean I didn't get an offer?

I got an email saying I had an offer, but it didn't say what the offer was. I'm a continuing student, so I'm not really sure what that means. Is there a room draw or something later?

You can go to the page in the email to see the offer.
I applied, just as a back up in case I couldn't find off-campus housing. Unit 3 triple. Good thing I've already signed the lease on my apartment for next year.

Ah, thanks. I got my offer today too, and it didn't say what it was. When I logged onto the link, it had this apply thing. So I got really confused and called them. I finally figured out that I needed to click in the circle of the term I applied to and clicked "continue" to get the info on what the offer was. I feel like a COMPLETE moron for not being able to figure it out.

Anyway, mini-suite double in Unit 1 -- Woot!

Leftist, a single?!? Lucky sod!

^ Oh, that's how you do it! Thanks for the tip.

"Unit One, RH Std Double"

Okay ... good thing I have other housing options I'm looking into.

Oo…I can’t wait to get my offer. Though I’m pretty sure I’ll be renting an apt. The only thing that will would make me think twice is if I get a single, but it looks like anon5524485 just lowered my chances by a bit hahah.

Unit 1 mini-suite eh…I was in one of those for a semester.

Good luck to me.

Mini-Suite Double in Unit 1 :)

I would've totally put the single as my first choice if Foothill was on southside.

Despite sky high dorm costs, there is still an overwhelming number of students who want to continue living there. I guess this is more than enough to justify that rising costs is not a factor for housing! :o

I figure it this way -- w/meals, internet, res comp, tutoring, room close to campus, cleaning people, and built-in parties, for about $1,400/mo. (parents' $$), if they're up for paying for it, I'm up for staying in it. Besides, I don't think even a room in a dump would be as little if you add in food, utilities, and all the rest of that. (ok I don't know this for sure, I've never done it and I'm not sure what it costs).

Built-in parties?

btw did we already pay a $20 app charge for the 08-09 housing contract?

Did all offers come out already? I still haven't received anything, I wonder if it means I wasn't offered anything.

$20 was charged for the application.
I don't think all offers came out. One of my friends didn't get anything yet either.

wow....i will be a sophomore and they put me on waitlist...i am screwed for next year.....

bringing up for wecandothis

I thought sophomores would have priority. i guess not... Is it possible to get a housing offer if we complain to the housing people because we did pay a $20 non-refundable housing app fee...

Yeah I thought sophs got priority too, so this wait list comment is really weird. If I were u I'd go to the housing place by Crossroads and talk to them. I was in there (up on the second floor) last year when they screwed up something, and they were helping a couple of people with housing issues. They seem surprisingly accommodating, so check it out.

What do you mean by sophomores don't get priority? I thought they did.
