housing contract/honors dorms

first question: My housing contract's deadline was today, march 19th. I just faxed it, emailed it about an hour ago. Will they still accept this? I technically turned it in on the 19th...

second question: how hard is it to get into honors housing?

They'll most likely accept it... But if not, the contract will just expire and you can start it up again

since you emailed it, they should be able to see what time you sent it so you're probably safe. when did you pay and turn in the housing payment? cause that is what determines your priority in housing assignments. but i think you should be able to get into honors housing since a lot less people are in the honors program and sometimes they even have room left over.

sweet
i did my housing app in the middle of feb, even though i was admitted in december, yeah i was dumb. lol, i didnt know that when you turned in app was the order of priority
So there's no possible way i'd get into san jac, i decided to do honors
thanks for the good news

For fall 2008, everyone who was a member of Liberal Arts Honors who wanted to live in honors housing was able to live in honors housing. I think you should be all right.

Housing priority is determined by that first $50 you sent in when you applied, not the contract so you should be fine.

When does the contract come? Also, do they email it to you? I paid my enrollment deposit today.

mine came in a few days after i paid my enrollment fee
they email it to you also

They say they send them in batches. Last year, my daughter's contract didn't come for several weeks after she sent in her enrollment deposit.

This is March 24, 2009 and to date we have been able to send housing contract emails within a few days after you have paid your enrollment deposit. You will not receive anything in the mail, but rather an email telling you that you have been offered a contract and where to go to accept it. If you are 18 or older this can be done on line. If you are not 18, you will need to print the contract, have your parent sign it and mail it to our office.

Can I fax it also? It said either mail or fax in the e-mail.

Yes, you may fax the contract to 512-475-6532

what happens if you do not pay the $300 on the day your housing contract expires? does this mean that you are no longer able to live on campus if you do not pay and your contract expires?

I remember hearing someone mention on another thread that if your contract expires, you can have another one sent to you. But don’t take my word on it.

My housing contract expired yesterday and I was wondering if I could get another one or if I have to live off campus.

Call and they’ll send you another one. My friend did this last year and they were fine about it. Don’t worry, you’ll get a dorm. She got into kinsolving by the way, so it shouldn’t affect the quality of the dorm you get either.
