Housing Contract Hurting my other Applications

So here’s the situation, I wanted a housing contract at UT Austin so I payed the enrollment deposit. It now says I have accepted enrollment. I understand this is refundable up until May. However, the question I have is that will other colleges see that I accepted admission at UT Austin and deny me automatically? I am leaning towards no as when I click to change my admission decision it says did you decide to attend another institution but I wanted to confirm.

Don’t really have an answer for your question but:

For what it is worth, and for others maybe reading this thread: You do NOT have to accept your admission offer to place your housing deposit at UT.

Paying an housing deposit of $50 is not the same thing as the $200 enrollment deposit.

No, other schools cannot see whether you have accepted or not. UT doesn’t publish this information anywhere and no school has the time or resources to look at it if they did.

But the housing deposit could be paid back when you applied- you did not even have to be accepted to UT to pay that.

Thanks for the replys guys. To make it more clear, I wanted to be offered a housing contract which to my understanding can only be offered if you pay the enrollment deposit but it doesn’t matter that much now since I got accepted into UC Berk. Once again thanks for the replies.
