Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere, but what exactly happens if you let your housing contract expire? Will it affect your housing priority or anything?

If you do not complete your housing contract and if it expires, you will not be able to live on campus in the Fall.

When contracts expire, the applications are deactivated. However, they can be reactivated: [Contract Expiration | Freshmen | Be a Longhorn](http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/freshmen/housing/expiration/) .

My guess is that your (new) application date will be the reactivation date, so you may be less likely to get your top dorm choice.

Correct

Hey guys, I have a small question about the contract.

Who is the guarantor in the contract? (I’m below 18 btw)

It would generally be a parent.
