How soon after my acceptance do I receive a housing contract by e-mail? (For On-campus housing)

Have you committed to UT yet? Once you commit, then you should get an e-mail from housing within a few days with a link to the contract. You can also check your Bealonghorn page.

Please send your specific question to housing@austin.utexas.edu

Yes, I just committed, and I actually figured out through e-mail that I’m on the wait list, does anyone have experience with this?

Alexin, when did you apply for housing?

I think around February? Maybe late January.

Hey AlexlinFTW, did you get a contract yet? I applied early January and just accepted enrollment yesterday.

I submitted my housing application on December 29 and I still haven’t recieved my housing contract :P

doesnt look like you’ll be getting a contract. :{

One, ignore Pierre. Two, I would call the University and talk to someone there. I don’t know what is going on with contracts as I am living off campus, but I am sure that university officials can shed some light on the situation.

you cant ignore the truth :P

yea, I’ve contacted the university about my contract and they said that I was on the list of people who have submitted a application. None of my friends who have signed up to live on campus have recieved a contract yet though. Plus, I’m a transfer student so I can kinda understand the delay…I mean, at least until I confirmed enrollment and registered for classes.

Yeah i hear they prefer to house incoming freshman before others… Are you applying to Jester? My friend couldn’t get in so got a spot in Jester…

Personally i have no idea what i’ll do, my friends (who don’t go to UT) want to get a house. But i lived with them last year and all they did was smoke weed and i want to be more involved with meeting new people and school and stuff…

Dorms are just so damn expensive though…

hmm…weird, i never got an email saying anything about housing. I’ve got my enrollment deposit waived, so doesn’t that mean I’ve committed?

Make sure you check your junk or spam mail because my yahoo account tossed the housing contract email in there so I missed the 10 day signing period.

But no worries, I simply called them up and they placed my back on the list immediately.

Also, you dont have to wait for an email, you could just check on your EID account under the housing section and it should have info on the contract.

ohhh… thanks… I guess I haven’t been assigned housing yet… :\ I applied on April 1st, do you think I’ll get on campus housing, even if it is supplemental housing?

Don’t think you will get any housing thaisteak. I applied early January. I emailed Housing and they said I was on the waitlist as well. :/

ahhhhhh… the division of housing said that they usually take everyone off the waitlistttt, but man, i’m super scared that I won’t get any housing… where are you planning to stay, if on campus housing doesn’t happen for you xcel?

They do? I guess I might wait it out then. Do you know when they start taking people off the waitlist? Eh, I’m planning on staying at Dobie or one of the private dorms if I don’t get on campus housing. I’m still looking at apartments if I somehow get a cheap 1 bedroom in West Campus for <$700/month lol.

yeah, I’m looking into Dobie too… I hope it’s social…
